Cataloging/M3 Server

· Authority verification was failing on headings containing diacritical characters.

Circulation

· An issue where the screens would come up blank when overriding overdues has been addressed. This happened when the timeout was enabled, and increased in frequency as the timeout value decreased.

ReportTool (ODBC driver/M3 Server)

· Diacritical characters now display correctly in reports.

Web OPAC

· Searches using diacritical characters now return correct results.

Miscellaneous

The Equipment definition file has been updated to support pictures (field 996) in Cataloging and Circulation.

NOTES

M3 1.6 SP2 is a required update for all Authority Control and Syndetics users. SP2 (server) is also required for Oasis. This is the first release version of the server (3.3.0.14) to support UTF-8 for the handling of non-Latin characters.
The full distribution CDs will be remastered to include SP2.
SP2 does not apply to the Basic Edition (free download).
