M3 offers features for handicapped users. Many of the features are built into Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows Me, and Windows XP operating systems and carry over into M3 use. Additionally, workstations equipped with speakers and headphones can increase the volume of audio alerts used in M3. All of these settings can be changed in Control Panel’s Accessibility Options section.
Users with a touch screen monitor can take advantage of M3’s touch buttons and visual icons for selections. In addition, the font style and size in the OPACs and the record editor (visible in Cataloging and Circulation) can be modified for easier viewing.
